Schuco FW 50+

Fully tried-and-tested with endless possibilities: Schüco FW 50+ / FW 60+ – the façade system

The Schüco Façade FW 50+ allow façades and skylights of very varied design to be constructed efficiently and reliably. Their compatibility with many other Schüco systems make Schüco FW 50+ two of the best-selling façade systems in Europe.

Product benefits

From passive house-certified SI façades with maximum thermal insulation through to standard thermal insulation, the FW 50+ systems offer the right solution for every scenario and all climate regions
Geometrically complex skylight constructions can be easily constructed
A wide range of cover caps offer outstanding design options for a variety of façade styles
Bullet resistance, burglar resistance and blast resistance options
Can also be used as a fire-resistant façade (BF).

Electric cables are concealed within the façade system, but can be accessed for inspection
Schüco FW 50, self-supporting aluminium ventilated façade system.

As a mullion/transom construction for large-scale façade cladding of building structures with an external face width of 50 mm.

Design features:

The load-bearing structure of the façade systems consists of brackets, mullion/transom profiles & cover caps; fabricated from extruded aluminium profiles of alloy EN AW 6060.

Load-bearing structure:

The load-bearing structure is anchored in the foundations by means of T-shaped brackets (fixed bearing points, sliding bearing points) which, via the appropriate fixing bracket assemblies, are fixed to the building structure using fixings approved by the building authorities.

The vertical profiles of the substructure are interlocked with the brackets using hexagon head bolts.

The transom profile is connected to the mullion profile by means of system-specific T-cleats.

To accommodate the infills described below, mullions and transom profiles must be fitted with the internal glazing rebate gasket prior to installation.

The infills are held in place on 4 sides by the pressure plate and the continuous external glazing rebate gasket.

Profile face widths:
Mullion/transom profile 50 mm

Profile basic depths:
Mullion/transom profile -9.5 mm
Cover cap (mullion) -15 mm
Cover cap (transom) -12 mm
